Addison Woolsey (Seattle, 1993) is a ceramic artist and translator who lives and works between Mexico and the United States. He moved to Mexico City in 2016, and has since worked and studied in studios in Oaxaca, Seattle, and Medellín. In 2018, he spent 6 months taking courses and completing a Guest Artist residency at Pottery Northwest, while also working as a studio assistant for Seattle-based ceramic artist Aaron Murray. In addition to his work as a ceramic artist, Addison translates poetry, art criticism, and journalism from Spanish and French to English. He was an artist-in-residence at Mono Rojo for most of 2019 before starting his Master’s Degree in Latin American Studies at UCLA in the fall.

Addison Woolsey (Seattle 1993) es ceramista y traductor estadounidense quien vive y trabaja entre México y Estados Unidos. Empezó a trabajar como ceramista en 2016 en la Ciudad de México y desde entonces ha desarrollado su carrera en talleres de Oaxaca, Seattle y Medellín. En 2018, pasó 6 meses en Seattle estudiando cerámica y como artista invitado en Pottery Northwest; también trabajó como asistente para el ceramista Aaron Murray durante esa estancia. Además de su trabajo como ceramista, Addison traduce poesía, crítica del arte y periodismo del español y francés al inglés. En 2019 era residente en Mono Rojo, un taller independiente en la Ciudad de México. En el otoño de 2019, empezó la maestría en Estudios Latinoamericanos en la Universidad de California, Los Ángeles.
